2.19.2006 Today's quirky taqueria experience: Guy in front of me orders a burrito, no problem so far, but with the following caveats: - "Can you take some of the liquid out of the spicy chicken?" - "Don't roll it up yet. Wait a minute so it cools off before you roll it. Don't worry, I'll tell you when." (Worker just gets to stand there and wait for him to say when.) - "Can you take a napkin and sop up some of the moisture?" (She just stares at him like he's an idiot. Which he is.) - "Is it $6.14? Wait. I have exact change." Of course you do, if you're that particular.
