Spared the jury, spent 3 1/2 hours staring at graffiti, which read (some examples):

I love you, BITCH

White Boyz Forever!

Man, there were a lot more… something about “Samoanz”, but I’m too beat from that mind-numbing experience to remember them.

En route to the courthouse to attempt to evade my civic duty… Chip Rowe’s “excuses” are silly, but his story of how ludicrous a trial can be is nice.

Thanks to my wife’s geneology research, the route of my paternal ancestors (6 generations back) to the U.S. has been found. Johan Null was one of the 5,000 deserters mentioned here.

Grammar God!
You are a GRAMMAR GOD!

If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!

I hate Daylight Saving Time. I want less freakin’ daylight, not more of it! I know that’s been said before (and will pretty much be said by me too until it ends on October 31 — Happy Halloween.

“The Empire State where Dylan lived**- The Empire State Building was, for the longest time, the tallest building in the world. It was built in the 1920s and is still an impressive site. It is located at 32nd-34th between 5th and 6th Avenues in Manhattan. You can go up to the 102nd floor for a great view of the city. Arrive early or go late because the lines to the elevators can be long. You can always take the ‘King Kong’ route and climb up the outside of the building to get to the top but it is dangerous and illegal. Dylan, it is believed, refers to the musician Bob Dylan. TMBG sing ‘Dylan’ because JF misheard the lyric when covering the song and found out what the actual lyrics were after FS was recorded and released.

“I cannot see a real difference between a library that places a photocopy machine in a room full of copyrighted material and a computer user that places a personal copy on a shared directory linked to a P2P service.”

Damn, that’s a good way of putting it!
